Howdy,
I see so many familiar names joining your Cat house Murry, how wonderful. And as you said in another post....most of them have beaten me at poker, .
I was just curious to know how they all ended up here, that is, how they got to know you & the other members here as well? So dish.....how did ya'll get to know this group? There are bound to be some great stories out there. What' yours?
Marg got me involved. I met Marg about 2 yrs ago. We started playing $1-$2 no limit omaha, play money, on poker.com. We would sit around talking, playing, & having fun. And improving our game as we went along. To me omaha is tough, tougher than hold em. And I figured that if I could play omaha, and do well, then my hold em game would improve as well. We had fun & met a great group of people, many of whom I still play with on a daily basis.
But in play money there are sooo very people who go all in pre-flop hand after hand after hand, . Very aggrevating & quite boring, . So Marg, flash, me & quite a few others began looking for games that would challenge us, teach us, & that we could enjoy without having to put up with lotto players in every hand.
We watched where others were playing, asked around, & decided to join a few forums.
We joined many of the same forums & found ourselves meeting new & better players, for the most part, lol. We still play together 3 years later & along the way we have met some wonderful people , .
I feel very lucky to have found so many good people & good players, & I learn and grow as a person & a poker player because of some of these good folks. So thanks gang for making my poker experience the joy & fun that it is today. Ya'll make learning fun, & taking your chips even funner, .

I hav a funny tale to tell tehehe!!!!!

Was about this time 2 yrs ago when I 1st came on line. Was August when playing a game of basketball (mixed) instead of the ball getting slam dunked, I got slam dunked and sent flying accross the court to find myself being carried off by the boys opps!!!!! tehehe!!!!! Well after driving myself home, packed my foot with ice took a couple of days off work thinking "she'll be right"

Well a few more days later, when my dam foot wouldnt come right, I decided I better get it checked out. OH ohhh!!!!!! A big oops here lol!!!!! my blinkin foot was broken eekkk!!!!!! I laughed, after driving myself around to get XRays etc my Doc said now I cant drive. gggrrrrr Now in plaster for the next 3 months (4 as it turned out) and off work, I needed something to do..........hhhmmmmm nows a good time to get that computer I always said I wanted (10yrs, not so long tehehe)

Oh boy, what did I accidently come accross?........ Poker.com Home to my new found game and to you and flash my texas buddies. We have had some fun times with the many friends we have met and still enjoy the company of as well as meeting many new players along the way. I entirely aggree with your comments M our moving on from play chips omaha, to freerolls and other forum games and sites was to better develope our game.

On moving to other forums such as Rounders Radio and then on to OPT, HR, Wass and Pokerspace, FRT, PFO where I came accross some very good and talented players most of whom are with us here today. Meeting you all no matter which forum or game has helped improve and lift my game to the next level. There are and will be many games and many forums that I will always enjoy seeing you at and wish everyone gl

I joined the ranks in October 2004, always played poker on and off over the years,mostly 7-Stud when I went to Atlantic City.
For me it was pretty much work and golf, would play 4 or 5 times a week. I messed up my elbow in a work mishap and that took me out of golf commission. I got a computer, always joked that I was probably last person to ever get one lol. I stumbled upon online poker by accident and decided to download a site and check it out (oh boy!!) Texas Holdem was in my blood, spent months playing everyday trying to learn the game and improve.
Was sometime in 2005 that I finally joined a forum or two, OnlinePokerTour is where I met most of the people I have become friends with. I have been slugging it out with Jermn since the beginning (exhausted) Then it was K9 Poker Tour and eventually Rounders Radio. I met Mischief while playing in some Rounders Radio games and noticed her penchant for going deep in large field games, we started exchanging ideas on how to play and became friends, then I got her to join OPT as well and here we are.
Met a good majority of our members through RR games and chat-rooms. Has been a blessing for me to have this hobby as I struggle to get back on the golf scene. I need competition and these games amongst friends, trying to beat each others brains in while joking around are great. Hopefully will be meeting five of you in about a month (go Crazy4Poker!!!!)

Oh yes Murry,

I remember when playing in them OPT games, although we had played mostly in RR games, where we started talking about our games and also the fun we had trying to catch your tail. Was where I got to meet Mcgooch and DaisyDuke and oh we tried hard but kept getting pipped

Is fun with a few others coming on board too and enjoy thinking about how I met you all on here.

Memory is something we should all enjoy. So cant wait for others to say how they got here, cos I know I'll just have to add my 2c worth tehehe

Well, I got into poker last christmas. Became a play money, donkey play money donkey. Found the forums eventually, and became a freeroll whore (but I never gave up a password, I swear).

Rounders Radio and Pokerspace and FRT and Texaswheel is was where I first started seeing you guy's names pop up a lot late stage. So I got to thinking, man, I wish I was that good. Watching you'all play has improved my game. Getting poker lessons from Texaspear and murray have really helped (I just wish that you didn't have to take out my stack as an "addmission fee"). I was always impressed my MischiefMarges's posts at Pokerspace.

Good to know you guys. Looking forward to getting my chips back. lol

Howdy hmmmm how to started this tale of madness.... A few year ago i need a little time off to get my head back on str8 If it work u have too decide lol. Took 6 months off to get it together.

It was about the time poker took off on the tv and i started watch and think i could do that. lol
About the same time we got online and type in poker.com....Started playing play money ....

Finded this group of good people from the UK ...There was damgermouse and novice and a fool name no1tomas .... We had a great time learming the art of poker...This went on for months ... THen DM make his move to real money.....Started looking around for a new game to learn join a omaha game ...And about that time along came Marg to the game ... For some reson we hit it off..i was going through some hard times and needed to talk ... And all of u know how Marg like to talk..teehee WE talk for hours thxx Marg i needed it more then u know my NZ friend...About that time Marg finded fourm poker and she brings me and TP along for the ride next thing i know were at Rounder Radio ....

And there my old bubby DM agian and i had to smile ...i knew right then it was the place for me...Thats where i ran into the rest of this merry band of friends murry , Jernm, V and the rest ..I know most though what a donk when i started to play the chat game but i watch and learn to play poker the right way ..Going agains these guys on a nighty game ... Show me how the art of poker was minted to be played... Thxx guys poker save my life ...

I too have learnt so much from the many good people here and really do consider everyone on this forum as friends. I think Murry picked a most appropriate name when he looked at this.

And I know we gonna have fun in crew games on pokerspace tehehe
