If I only have one round left before I check out this is where it will be. I now live about 10 minutes away. First played it when I was 13, next year it will host it's second US Open. Playing this course is a little different for the working man, lets say you want to play Saturday and tee of at 7am.
First player in your foursome has to be there by about 8:30pm the night before

yeah it is still light out and players are coming off course or drinking and eating at bar lol. You line up your cars starting on road in front of clubhouse, you sleep like a twisted up pretzel in your car until they hand out bakery tickets at 4am, rest of your group arrives around 3:30am with some much needed coffee. You get signed up by about 4:30 then it is off to breakfast until about 6:00 am, then you head to the range and hit some balls.
Now the guy who slept in his car is really ready to go to bed

off to lockerroom for a shower and it is show time. All the waiting is over as you stand on a 425 yard par 4 dog leg right with out of bounds down the right side. Just the shot you want to start the day with.
Now they have a phone in reservation system, I liked the old way better, something about seeing grown men swinging clubs at 2:30 in the morning or putting with flashlights on practice green lol.
I have well over 100 rounds in on this course "Bethpage Black"

I still have not figured it out
This video is from 2002 US Open, I followed Tiger entire day in rain, still don't know how he can consistently play at that level with so many people plus 10xs as many media credentials then any other player has along for the ride as well.
I also really want to birdie every hole on the course, running out of time grrrr, still have to get 5,6,15,and 16
I know I have bogeyed every hole at least 6 times
