My next live game is set cheers cheers next Tuesday at the ShowBoat Casino in Atlantic City. It is a brand new room. They opened there first one about 2 or 3 years ago, it was nice and cozy but the acoustics were bad and it wasn't near a bar or a bathroom. Rolling Eyes So they rolled out a new one just recently, this will be my first time playing there.
The game is $65 and usually draws between 50-100 players. No matter what happens, closer to the bar cheers cheers shorter pregame and post-game walk for the Cat!! cheers

Well we came up a little short tonight Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Had 62 players with a starting stack of 10,000 chips and blinds of 50-100. Got off to a bad start and was down to 5100 chips, but then it turned around. I stole one pot and then scored when my AK made a set and took out one player and got paid off by another. Had a setback when an ace lover pushed in for 5300 and the blinds at 400, normally I don't fall in love with JJ but I sensed what he had and was right. His A-9 scored on the river.
A big hand was right around the corner when I raised in position with Q-10 suited and got a K-J-5 flop in my suit which set me up for a 15 outer, player checked to me and I bet 3000, he pushed in for 8000 with his 2 pair. I wasn't going away with my draw and it came in.
Next came the phase that has been haunting me lately in live games, the gear change. Next thing I knew I had slipped to 12-20 and it eventually crashed when my suited AK went down to QQ in 11th place.
ShowBoat has a nice little game coming up this Saturday, not really up for driving all the way back here so soon but I will post the details of the game tomorrow.
